You can see this is a pretty good size bull and he was on one side of the pasture and I was on the other, at least that is what I thought.  I was photographing his herd of cows and all of a sudden, I felt a nudge and looked around to find this big guy right behind me.  The rancher, Hank, was close by and had a white plastic bag to wave at the bull but it did not seem to phase him in the least.  He was quite happy to take a better look and see who was in the pasture with his cows.  Needless to say, we waved good-bye and headed for the gate.  He was an impressive fellow.

I just got back from a week of painting in Tomales Bay and Bodega Bay.  The coast was beautiful and the weather was perfect.  There was lots to see.  The painting sights were endless.  This little excursion may of been one of the last for the season.  It is time to get back into the studio and paint for a few coming shows.
